Neurodiverse/typical – recognising your own wellbeing needs at university via MS Teams Online

Neurodivergent* and neurotypical students may experience university differently, but they do share the need to recognise and protect their own wellbeing. This workshop will offer neurodivergent and neurotypical students a chance to understand each other’s experiences whilst also identifying how to support themselves and their mental health. * Neurodivergent students may include, amongst others, those who have a diagnosis of autism, ADHD, OCD, and/or dyslexia.

Aims and objectives:

  •  Define and understand the terms ‘neurodivergent’ and ‘neurotypical’ *
  • Gain a deeper understanding of each other’s experiences at university 
  • Identify what may impact your wellbeing
  • Consider helpful and unhelpful coping strategies

This workshop has limited spaces to aid the workings of a confidential space. Please be assured that no-one will be asked to share their personal experiences, but reflections and feedback about any of the questions and subject matter may be helpful and are encouraged. You will need to be in a confidential space and have a pen and paper handy.
