FIKA: Improve your Mental Fitness

This 15-30 minute session provides education and skills development in mental fitness.
FIKA is an App used to improve mental health, and consequently build mental fitness. We will run this session from the FIKA App, ideally you will need to download the App but it is possible to join in without it.

What does Fika mean? Fika is Swedish and means ‘to have coffee’ and is an important part of the Swedish culture. The main idea it is to be able to slow down and give yourself time to talk with someone and enjoy this time together.

Our Fika sessions are aimed at enjoying time with others, while also learning about and improving your mental fitness at the same time. Whether you are a first-year student or you are graduating this year, we can all work on our key mental fitness skills:

Managing stress
Honing our focus
Improving our connections
Increasing our positivity
Building our confidence
Finding motivation
Finding ones meaning

 

Each week we’ll pick a skill and help you learn how to improve it. Our focus is to help on improving your wellbeing as well as have fun
