The breathing Meditation
This is a gentle 40 minute meditation inviting participants to gently focus on the “sensations in the breath” and begin noticing the effect this has on the body. This focusing on the breath can be used as an anchor for your awareness, helping you to see when your mind has slipped into the circular and repetitive patterns of thoughts that can easily undermine creativity.
This meditation is suitable for any students who would like to start their day with a gentle mindful meditation. Practicing mindfulness on a regular basis can be helpful in increasing creativity, concentration and defusing feelings of stress and anxiety.
All you need is a device to listen to the guided meditation, along with a comfy and supportive chair to sit on. Participants may prefer to sit on a stool or lay on meditation or yoga mat. Blankets may also be handy to have close by if you choose to lay down during this session.
