Creative Art Course (6 sessions)

Creative Art Course (6 sessions) In-Person

About:

The purpose of working with images therapeutically is about the encouragement towards greater self-awareness within each person. By bringing the person-centred approach to images expressed in art form, integration, healing and growth can take place at every level of development and can offer the opportunity for students to express their emotions (should you wish to do so) in a safe containing confidential space within the group setting.

All sessions will be facilitated through MS Teams video and are free to attend. You will be sent a link to your student email address prior to the session each week to join.

Who is it for:

This is a workshop open to all students who are interested in expressing themselves emotionally through the use of art. The workshop is a course of 6 sessions running on Tuesdays, 11:30am-12:30pm, starting on the 3rd November until the 8th December. There will be a maximum of 10 spaces to create a safe space and boundaries (once the course is full, no new members will be able to join).

What do I need:

All you require is a quiet undisturbed place to attend the sessions online, paper and any art materials you may wish to use such a paints, crayons, pens, pencils. No prior art experience is necessary!

Structure:

Each session will have a different focus. The first half of the session will include a brief guided visualisation and time to create your image and the second half of the session offers a safe space to share your experience and image within the group should you wish to.
